The math follow up

27/09/17 Yesterday I had a maths workshop and I got a follow up that was in the stage 7 maths book. I used to work on stage 6 maths books but I moved up in a maths group last week and that's a big deal for me because maths is my favourite subject. We are working on multiplication and division.

Weekly follow ups

27/09/17 This week the whole common have been doing lots of follow ups for class. We had heaps of different ones like: Writing two or three applications for the Immersions that we have been doing with LC4, doing 2 blog posts and making a maths comment on Linc-ed. I am really suprised because I finished them all yesterday. I got all of them done because I sat away from my friends so now I know that I get distracted a lot.

I moved up in a maths group

26/09/17 Last week I moved up in a maths group. I am so happy because I have been working very hard for this moment. I was in Helens math workshop but now i'm in Chris's one. I am now with a lot of people that are older than me including my older sister. Moving up in a maths group was very exiting but scary at the same time. I think that I fit in this maths group more than I did with Helen. What she was teaching us was to easy for me but now i'm in a more challenging group. I thought that I wasn't going to be smart enough to move up but I did because I worked hard for it. I did have to leave two of my friends behind but my education comes first is what my dad always says. I doesn't matter though because i'm with one of my other friends.

Helens Immersion

26/09/17 Today I did Immersion with Helen. We are looking at the history behind NZ. It is a very fun immersion because we talked about the world war and how they fought for our country. Why history is important: I think that the history of New zealand is important because all the history that happened affects and represents our country like the world war. I think that the war was one of the most important history events of NZ because all those men went out and fought for the future of our country. Everyone should remember those who fought in the war because if they hadn’t of fought we wouldn’t have New zealand. Everything you do is history but only the big events of history last the longest. Like for example you watching TV, that is apart of the past but it’s not very important and it doesn’t affect our country or do anything to it. There is good history and bad history. Bruce Mason Theatre

20/09/17 Yesterday LC2, 4 and 7 including me went to the Bruce mason theatre. It was really fun because we got to do lots of different things to do with a theatre like: Man. Did you know the theatre's compony organized the Adele concert which is really cool. The Bruce Mason theatre is very big. Thats one of the reasons why I like it. My favourite part of the trip was watching people do a proformance. We took a school bus on the way there and back. When we went back ten people had to go on a bus with the year two students and I was one of the ten students.

Talent show

15/09/17 On Wednesday the whole school walked to the high school to what the talent show that was on. Some students from our school did a proformence for us. My friend Paige sung a song called don't let me down. Keira and Sari and I sung that at last years talent show. Paige was really good at singing it though. There were all kinds of different acts like: dancing, singing and gymnastics.

Badminton

15/09/17 I signed up to be in the badminton team and I got in. I had practice on Tuesday and today at lunch time. I am going to the tournament in a couple of weeks. I have been practicing very for it as well. The coaches are Ameliya, Martina, and Keira I think that Ameliya is the best because she gives us tips to help us get better. The year 6s practice on Tuesdays and the year 7s are on Thursday but I go to both because I need extra practice.

Livs Immersion

15/09/17 Today I did Immersion with Liv. We walked to the secondary school to take photos of signs and symbols to see what the difference is between our school and theres so we can add some more colour to our school. We couldn't take photos anyways because the devices we had were dead so we had to memorize it.

Jono's Immersion

14/09/17 Today I did Immersion with Jono it was our first session. We are looking at designing a new play ground on tinker cad. Then we are printing them out on our schools 3D printer. It was kind of like my last Immersion with Chris but this time we are making what we would like as a playground and making mini prototypes out of what we have made. Klick on  this  to see my prototype.

Chris's Immersion

Tuesday 12/0917 Today I did Immersion with Chris. I was really fun because we went to the park across the school. But we went there for a purpose. We had to take notes of what we liked and what we would change in it. We are designing a new playground, then the builders are going to build it. I'm very exited for it all to come to life.

Jess and Sarahs Immersion

04/09/17 Today I did Immersion with Jess and Sarah. We were learning the arts and the creativity of dance. We learned lots of different types of dance moves. It was really cool because we saw a cool dance video of people competing in the dance nationals. We looked at making creative dance moves. It was fun for me because I like to dance.

Adventure park

Today the whole class had a school trip. We went to the adventure park in Silverdale. The class took a bus. Well, we kind of had two busses because we have such a big class. It was really fun though, because they had around 6 rides. They have a ride called a Luge, zip line, a shooting star and they even had a movie theater. I only went on the Luge and the zip line. I went on the Luge a lot of times, about 6 times. But I only went on the zip Line once. We had morning tea and lunch in between some of the rides. I w as really angry at th e end of the trip because I was about to go into the movie theater, but as I was walking in it closed and we had to go back to school. On our way to the adventure park and back to school, I was sitting next to my friend Paige and all we were doing was telling each other scary stories. It was so cool and I learned a lot of scary stuff that day and one of them was actually true.

The day of sickness

22/08/17 Yesterday I did not come to school because I was sick. I forgot that we had our project presentation. When heard that I mist it I was devistated. I wished I went to school. But i'm at school today and Paige said it went well. Paige is my partner. We had samples to give out and they went fast. I think our presentation was pretty cool.
